Yu Jordy Fu had her first solo exhibition at Beijing Capital Museum at age of six, and her artwork has been published into two books and exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Yu Jordy Fu graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a first-class degree in Spatial Design, then a Master of Arts in Architecture from Royal College of Art.In 2005, Jordy was chosen by the British Council to be one of the ten young designers representing creativity in UK. Jordy’s first sustainable product range ‘Cloud Lamps’ (www.jordyfu.co.uk/shop) received worldwide success.
Between 2005 – 2007, Jordy worked at Future Systems (www.future-systems.com) as a designer where she has worked on various cultural, educational, infrastructure projects; as well as furniture and exhibition design. Then Jordy worked at the London office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (www.som.com) as a senior design architect, where she has been working on the concept stage of various large-scale mixed-use projects from a 270-meter tower to a 66 hectares master plan in Dubai. Jordy also leads the design team on a few architectural design competitions and a large-scale residential project in London.
In 2009, Jordy worked as a creative consultant for the Ralph Appelbaum Associates (www.raany.com) on the interior design of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion for Shanghai Expo 2010.
Currently Jordy is currently the Creative Director at dwp (Design Worldwide Partnership www.dwp.com) and Creative Director at Marques & Jordy – a London based company specialises creating environments that engage emotions. Jordy exhibits her work internationally.
Jordy is a London Southbank Centre commission artist and commission designer at London Design Museum, she is also a visiting lecturer at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design London and visiting critic at Royal College of Art London.
